OHIO — A driver was flown to a local hospital after crashing into a utility pole early Sunday morning.
Emergency crews were dispatched around 5:48 a.m. to the 2700 block of East U.S. Route 36 for reports of a single-vehicle crash, according to the Miami County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the vehicle went off the roadway and struck a power pole. The driver was careflighted to a local hospital with a suspected head injury. Their condition was not immediately available.
A sheriff’s lieutenant said alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
