TENNESSEE — Authorities are searching for the driver of a dark-colored sedan that struck a pedestrian and fled the scene late Monday night in downtown Nashville.
The incident occurred shortly after 10 p.m. near the intersection of 4th Avenue South and Lafayette Street.
According to investigators, a woman was walking in the area when she was hit by the vehicle, which did not stop after the collision.
The woman was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries. Officials say she remains in stable condition.
Investigators are working to obtain video footage from the area in an effort to identify the vehicle and driver involved.
