OHIO — A 62-year-old man was seriously injured Tuesday night after being struck by a vehicle in north Columbus.
According to the Columbus Division of Police, officers responded to a report of a pedestrian hit around 9:15 p.m. in the 1200 block of East Dublin Granville Road, near Interstate 71.
Investigators say the man was attempting to cross Dublin-Granville Road from south to north when he was struck by a 2018 Ford Fusion.
Police noted that the crash did not occur at a crosswalk.
The victim was transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Authorities confirmed that the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene following the incident.
