
OHIO — One person was critically injured early Thursday morning in a hit-and-run incident involving a black vehicle on the east side of Columbus.
The crash occurred around 4:05 a.m. in the 2000 block of East Livingston Avenue.
According to the Columbus Division of Police, the victim was either attached to, holding on to, or had jumped onto the vehicle. Detectives are still working to determine the exact circumstances.
Police said the vehicle drove through a nearby field before entering a parking lot on the east side of a building.
The vehicle struck a concrete post, causing the person to fall and hit their head on the pavement. The vehicle then ran over the person’s leg before fleeing the scene.
The victim was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition. Police say the driver did not remain at the scene.
