KENTUCKY — Covington police are investigating after a man was struck by a vehicle early Wednesday morning along Highway Avenue.
The incident occurred between Spring Street and Parkway Avenue. According to officers, the man was critically injured and transported to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities are working to determine why the man was in the roadway at the time of the collision.
The area includes sidewalks on both sides and a barrier wall, police noted.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, officials said.
Traffic on Highway Avenue remains blocked as police continue to examine the scene.
