GEORGIA — The Savannah Police Department is investigating a Wednesday evening crash involving a pedestrian on Abercorn Street between 62nd and 63rd Streets.
Police said southbound lanes of Abercorn Street are closed in the area due to the crash, and east–west lanes at 63rd Street are also shut down.
Drivers are urged to use alternate routes.
According to law enforcement at the scene, a person was struck by a vehicle and taken to a hospital with injuries. The condition of the pedestrian has not yet been released.
