GEORGIA — A child was seriously injured Wednesday evening after being struck by a car while riding an electric mini-bike in a Coweta County neighborhood.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, troopers responded to Greenfield Lane in Grantville around 6:55 p.m. where they found the child with serious injuries.

Investigators believe a Nissan failed to stop for the child. Authorities also noted the child was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
