FLORIDA — A bicyclist was hospitalized Wednesday morning after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run on Dale Mabry Highway, the Tampa Police Department reported.
Officers responded around 2:30 a.m. to the intersection near Mango Avenue, where a silver 2019 Chevy Equinox with Florida tag JUVE12 had reportedly hit the bicyclist while traveling northbound in the outside lane. The driver did not stop and fled the scene, heading east on West El Prado Boulevard.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with critical injuries but is currently in stable condition, according to TPD.
