
ARIZONA — A man is fighting for his life after being hit by a car late Sunday night in west Phoenix, according to police.
Officers with the Phoenix Police Department responded just before 11:30 p.m. to a crash involving a pedestrian near 83rd Avenue and Indian School Road in the Maryvale area.
When officers arrived, they found a man who had been struck and suffered life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Police said the driver involved in the crash stayed at the scene.
Investigators are working to determine what led up to the incident. The case remains under investigation.
