LOUISIANA — A 40-year-old woman was hospitalized in serious condition after being struck by a train Thursday night, authorities said.
Emergency officials reported that the incident occurred shortly before midnight on Gayosa Street.
Police said the woman was attempting to crawl under a stopped train when it began to move, resulting in her injuries.
Her condition was described as critical but non-life-threatening.
