One person injured after being shot while driving in Kentucky

KENTUCKY — A woman was hospitalized early Monday after being shot while driving in Louisville’s Shawnee neighborhood, according to police.

The Louisville Metro Police Department said the woman arrived at UofL Hospital by private vehicle just before 1 a.m. with a gunshot wound to her wrist.

Investigators said the woman told detectives she was driving near 38th and West Market streets when she was shot.

Police said she is expected to survive.

LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating. No suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been made.

The investigation remains ongoing.
