PENNSYLVANIA — A man is in critical condition after being shot during a suspected burglary in Wilkinsburg on Tuesday night, according to Allegheny County police.
Investigators said officers were called to the 2200 block of McNary Boulevard just before 8 p.m. for reports of a shooting. When police arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso. He was taken to a nearby hospital and remains in critical condition.
Preliminary findings indicate the man had returned home and interrupted a burglary in progress before he was shot. County police homicide detectives are leading the investigation.
