MICHIGAN — The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a body was found along the shoreline of Lake Michigan in Park Township on Thursday afternoon.
According to deputies, a person walking along the beach discovered the body at approximately 2:25 p.m. Authorities said the body had washed up on the shoreline. Patrol units and detectives with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene to begin an investigation.
Officials said the death is under investigation and no additional details about the identity of the individual or the circumstances surrounding the death have been released at this time.
Deputies also stated that there is no threat to the public. The investigation remains ongoing, and further information is expected to be released as it becomes available.
