GEORGIA — Authorities are investigating after a body was discovered on Interstate 75 in northwest Atlanta Saturday night.
Police said officers patrolling northbound I-75 near Northside Drive NW just before 10:30 p.m. found a 21-year-old man lying in the roadway. Medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
The discovery temporarily shut down traffic on the northbound lanes of the interstate.
Officials said the cause of death will be determined by an autopsy conducted by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office. The investigation is ongoing.
