
TENNESSEE — A suspect has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder after a 65-year-old man was found dead in a Gallatin residence early Saturday morning, according to the Gallatin Police Department.
Officers responded to a report of a possible homicide around 2:40 a.m. in the 100 block of West Hite Street.
Upon arrival, they discovered the body of Stephen Thomas, 65, inside the home.
Investigators determined that Thomas and the suspect were acquaintances.
The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Jovanny Daniel Ruiz, has been taken into custody and is being held without bond.
Gallatin police say the case remains an active and ongoing investigation. No further details have been released at this time.
