
TENNESSEE — Authorities are investigating after a man was found dead in a wooded area in Nashville on Tuesday evening.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, a passerby discovered the body in the woods near the intersection of Doverside Drive and Oakview Drive.
Police said the man appeared to have been shot and may have died earlier this week. He was not carrying any identification at the time he was found.
Investigators noted that while there are encampments in the surrounding area, none were located in the immediate vicinity of the victim.
The Davidson County Medical Examiner’s Office is working to identify the man and determine the exact cause of death.
