INDIANA — Indianapolis police are investigating after a man was found dead lying in the road on the city’s northwest side Saturday night.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded just before midnight Oct. 4 to the intersection of Cooper Road and Michigan Road on a report of a possible person struck.
When officers arrived, they found a man lying in the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
“There were no vehicles on scene that were involved,” IMPD Capt. Shane Foley said in a news release. “While it is possible this was a crash involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian, that has not been determined at this time.”
Crash investigators are continuing to look into the incident.
