PENNSYLVANIA — The body of a 15-year-old boy was recovered from a pond in Lancaster County on Sunday evening following a report of a possible drowning.
Pennsylvania State Police and the Rawlinsville Fire Company’s dive team responded to the area near Herr Drive and Peach Bottom Road around 3 p.m. after receiving a report of a missing child. Authorities confirmed the teen’s body was discovered in a private pond around 7:30 p.m.
The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office said an autopsy is scheduled for Monday to determine the official cause and manner of death.
The incident remains under investigation.
