KENTUCKY — A woman was found dead Monday morning in the parking lot of a senior living apartment building in Richmond, according to Jimmy Cornelison, coroner for the Madison County Coroner’s Office.
Cornelison said the woman was discovered in the parking lot of Pebblecreek Crossing on Big Hill Avenue by a passerby, who saw her lying between two parked vehicles. Ice was present on the ground in the area, and the coroner said the death could be weather-related, though that determination will not be made until an autopsy is completed.
Cornelison said foul play is not suspected and that efforts are underway to schedule an autopsy. The woman’s name has not yet been released as authorities work to notify her next of kin. She was a resident of Madison County.
Investigators are also seeking surveillance camera footage from the area to help determine the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death, according to the coroner.
