INDIANA — Police are investigating the death of a man found unconscious Wednesday night behind an apartment building in Fort Wayne.
According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, officers and emergency personnel were dispatched to the 6100 block of Holgate Drive after receiving a call about an unconscious man. Officers arrived at approximately 8:35 p.m. and immediately began CPR.
Medics later pronounced the man dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.
Detectives and Crime Scene Technicians are working to determine the cause of death. The investigation is being led by the Fort Wayne Police Department with assistance from multiple units, including the Homicide Unit and Air Support Unit, as well as the Allen County Coroner’s Office and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
