ILLINOIS — Authorities are investigating a death after a man was found dead and a woman was injured Tuesday night in Cumberland County.
According to Illinois State Police, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office contacted troopers just before 8:45 p.m. regarding an incident in the 1100 block of County Road 1050 North near Toledo.
Officials said one man was found dead at the scene, while a woman sustained injuries. The extent of her injuries has not been released.
Authorities have not provided additional details about the circumstances surrounding the incident, including the cause of death.
