One person found dead in driveway in Ohio, investigation underway

OHIO — North Olmsted police are investigating after two men were found unresponsive in a residential driveway Saturday morning, leaving one man dead and another hospitalized.

According to a press release from the North Olmsted Police Department, officers and the North Olmsted Fire Department were dispatched at approximately 8:04 a.m. to a home in the 26950 block of Kingston Circle in North Olmsted after a report of two unresponsive men in a driveway.

Police said one man, identified as Jeffrey Ropp, 61, was pronounced dead at the scene. A second man, identified as a 66-year-old, was found unconscious but alive. He was transported by the fire department to St. John Medical Center for treatment.

The cause of death for Ropp will be determined by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office. Police said the manner of death remains under investigation by detectives with the North Olmsted Police Department.
