GEORGIA — A heavy police presence was reported Sunday morning at the Magnolia Lane Apartments in Bloomingdale following the discovery of a deceased man, authorities said.
According to the Bloomingdale Police Department, officers responded to an incident at the apartment complex around 7:30 a.m. Investigators said a Black male was found dead at the scene with an apparent gunshot wound.
Authorities said the death will be investigated as a homicide. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has responded to the scene and will take over the investigation.
Officers from the Garden City Police Department and the Savannah Police Department are also assisting at the scene.
