KENTUCKY — A Cave City man was shot and killed Monday night after entering a residence in Monroe County, according to Kentucky State Police.
Authorities said the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance around 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 18 following a reported shooting at a home on Sugar Creek Road.
A preliminary investigation indicates that 50-year-old Scott Eudy entered the home and was confronted by an armed occupant. During the encounter, the resident fired a gun, striking Eudy.
Eudy was transported to Monroe County Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, EMS, and the county coroner’s office assisted at the scene.
State police said the investigation remains ongoing, and no additional details have been released.
