INDIANA — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred late Friday night on the city’s eastside.
Officers were called to the 2400 block of North Kenyon Street just before 11:30 p.m. on a report of a person shot.
When they arrived, they found an adult woman lying in the roadway with gunshot wounds. She was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, where she later died.
While on scene, officers located a second victim—an adult man—also suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office will determine the exact cause and manner of death and will release the woman’s identity after notifying her next of kin.
