NORTH CAROLINA — One person is dead and two others are injured following a shooting at a house party in the Shawtown community of Harnett County late Saturday night.
Deputies with the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene around 11:40 p.m. after receiving reports of gunfire.
When officers arrived, they found a large crowd gathered at a residence and confirmed that three people had been shot.
One victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two were transported to Womack Army Hospital at Fort Bragg for treatment.
The Harnett County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the incident. No additional information about the victims or any potential suspects has been released at this time.
