NORTH CAROLINA — Durham police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and two others injured early Thursday morning at an apartment building on Delbert Avenue.
According to the Durham Police Department, officers were alerted to a reported shooting shortly after midnight. When officers arrived at the scene, one man was pronounced dead. Two other men who were shot were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Their conditions have not been released.
A forensic team was called to the scene and arrived before 7 a.m. to process evidence and assist with the investigation.
Police have not released the names of the victims, and there was no immediate information on what led to the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing.
