GEORGIA — One man is dead and two others are injured following a shooting early Sunday morning in Glennville, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).
The Glennville Police Department responded to reports of a shooting around midnight on July 6 in the area of MLK Drive between Boyd Street and Green Street.
When officers arrived, they found 32-year-old Alvin Lashawn Williams suffering from a gunshot wound.
Williams was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His body will be sent to the GBI Crime Lab in Pooler for an autopsy.
Two other individuals were also found with gunshot wounds at the scene and were taken to area hospitals for treatment. Their conditions have not been released.
The Glennville Police Department requested assistance from the GBI, which is now leading the investigation. Authorities say the case remains active and ongoing.
