MISSISSIPPI — The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Wednesday, May 13, on Interstate 22.
According to troopers, 52-year-old Myeshia Nelson of Ashland was driving when her vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. Nelson died at the scene.
Three children were also in the car at the time of the crash.
Two were airlifted to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, while the third was taken to a hospital in New Albany.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
