GEORGIA — Police in Georgia are investigating an early-morning shooting that left one woman dead and a man hospitalized, authorities said.
According to the Monroe Police Department, officers responded to a reported shooting around 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of GW Carver Drive. When officers arrived, they found an adult woman who was pronounced dead at the scene.
An adult man was also found injured and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. His condition has not been released.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting and what may have led up to it. No additional details, including possible suspects, have been released.
