ALABAMA — Mobile Police Department officers have arrested a man following a crash Sunday that left a young boy dead.
Authorities said 30-year-old Franklin Oriel Fajardp-Arana was taken into custody on Oct. 27 and charged with DUI manslaughter.
The crash occurred just after 3 p.m. on Oct. 26 near the intersection of Michael Boulevard and Montlimar Drive. Police reported that a Toyota Corolla and a Toyota 4Runner collided, causing the 4Runner to flip onto its side. The passenger in the 4Runner was pronounced dead at the scene.
Fajardp-Arana is being held in Metro Jail by the Department of Homeland Security for ICE.
