OHIO — A 66-year-old man is dead and his son is in custody following a stabbing Monday night in Pemberville, according to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were dispatched to a home in the 1000 block of Devil’s Hole Road at 9:13 p.m. for a reported stabbing. When they arrived, authorities found Raymond Dannenberger, 66, outside the residence. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say the victim’s son, Richard Dannenberger, 36, was arrested shortly afterward at a nearby residence. He was booked into the Wood County Jail and charged with murder. Jail records show he is being held without bond.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is assisting in the investigation. Richard Dannenberger is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday morning.
