OHIO — One man is dead and another has been arrested following a shooting late Saturday night in the Walnut Hills neighborhood, according to Cincinnati police.
Officers responded to the 3000 block of Gilbert Avenue around 10:30 p.m. after receiving a report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim, identified as 40-year-old Jason Lamar Bennett, was transported to UC Medical Center by Cincinnati fire personnel, where he later died from his injuries.
Police have arrested 58-year-old John Smith and charged him with reckless homicide in connection with Bennett’s death.
Authorities have not released information about what led to the shooting.
