
OHIO — A woman has been charged with murder following a shooting that left one man dead and another person injured early Saturday morning in east Toledo.
According to Toledo police, officers responded to the 2000 block of Starr Avenue around 2:42 a.m. and found 35-year-old Devonta Miller suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Miller was transported to St. Charles Hospital, where he later died.
A second victim was also found at the scene with a gunshot wound and taken to Toledo Hospital. Police said that person is expected to survive.
Investigators determined that the shooting happened after a fight between the two victims. Officers arrested 32-year-old Andreania Pruitt, who police said was in a relationship with Miller.
Pruitt has been charged with murder and felonious assault.
