KENTUCKY — A man in his 30s was shot and killed Friday night inside a home in the Russell neighborhood, according to Louisville Metro Police.
Officers were called around 8:40 p.m. to the 2700 block of Cedar Street, near South 26th Street and West Muhammad Ali Boulevard, on a report of a shooting. When they arrived, police found the man with a gunshot wound to the face. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said Saturday that 25-year-old Maria Swann was arrested and charged with murder – domestic violence.
According to court documents, Swann waived her Miranda rights and told investigators she shot the victim during a verbal argument. Police said the two lived together and were in a relationship.
