KENTUCKY — Morehead Police are investigating a deadly shooting that left one juvenile dead and another injured early Sunday morning.
Officers were called to the area of West Sun Street around 2:30 a.m. and discovered two juveniles who had been shot.
One of the victims, identified by the Rowan County Coroner as 15-year-old Luis Jocsan Nanez Lopez, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following a brief search of the area, police arrested Gildardo Martinez. He is charged with murder, assault, and attempted rape, and is currently being held at the Rowan County Detention Center.
The investigation is ongoing.
