
SOUTH CAROLINA — A man in Richland County, South Carolina, was shot and killed during what authorities say was supposed to be an iPhone sale.
According to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, 23-year-old Rasheed Hawkins met the victim under the pretense of buying the phone but intended to rob him. During the encounter, the victim was shot multiple times.
Investigators said Hawkins was arrested Monday and later confessed to the shooting during an interview.
He has been charged with:
- Murder
- Possession of a weapon during a violent crime
Hawkins was taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. Authorities have not released additional details about the victim in the article.
