OHIO — A 23-year-old man was fatally shot on Christmas Eve in Bellefontaine, according to Chief of Police Christopher Marlow.
Officers and medics responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 10:22 a.m. at 200 N. Detroit Street.
Upon arrival, they discovered Nathaniel Jones, 23, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Jones was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with Jones’ death and is facing criminal charges, Chief Marlow confirmed.
The shooting remains under investigation.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the Bellefontaine Police Department.
