KENTUCKY — A 21-year-old woman was killed and at least four others, including minors, were injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon at a Clinton County intersection, according to Kentucky State Police.
Troopers responded around 4:10 p.m. to the intersection of U.S. 127 and KY 558 following reports of a collision involving a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe and a 1999 Dodge Dakota.
Preliminary findings indicate that Kayelyn Garrett, 21, of Livingston, Tennessee, was driving west on KY 558 when she entered the intersection and was struck by the northbound Dodge Dakota on U.S. 127.
Garrett was transported to the Medical Center at Albany, where she died from her injuries.
The 18-year-old driver of the Dodge and a juvenile passenger in the Tahoe were flown to the University of Kentucky Hospital with serious injuries.
A 23-year-old woman and another minor in the Tahoe were taken to the Medical Center at Albany with minor injuries.
Multiple agencies, including the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department, Albany Police, Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, and Clinton County Fire/EMS, assisted at the scene.
Kentucky State Police continue to investigate the crash. No further details have been released.
