OHIO — A driver was killed early Friday morning after their vehicle went airborne off Interstate 70 and landed in the Mad River Creek.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Springfield Post, troopers responded to reports of a crash around 6:20 a.m. on I-70, between State Route 235 and I-675.
After searching the area for several minutes, troopers located the vehicle in the creek.
Investigators said the vehicle had been traveling eastbound on I-70 when it veered off the right side of the road, became airborne, and landed in the water.
The identity of the driver has not yet been released, and the crash remains under investigation.
