OHIO — One person was killed and another hospitalized following a single-vehicle crash involving a FedEx truck on I-75 near State Route 4, according to Montgomery County officials.
Dispatchers said crews were called to the scene around 9:40 a.m. Saturday. The crash occurred when the northbound truck went off the road and down an embankment. The passenger died at the scene, while the driver was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries.
Dayton Hazmat, Dayton Fire, and Dayton Police responded to the incident. As of 10:15 a.m., two northbound lanes were open while crews continued working at the scene.
The Dayton Police Department’s Traffic Services Unit is actively investigating the crash.
