ALABAMA — A 27-year-old man from Gadsden was killed in a crash Monday night on Interstate 59 in Jefferson County, according to authorities.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Saleh Ali Mohamed Muflehi. Officials said he was the driver and sole occupant of a vehicle involved in a two-vehicle crash.
Authorities said the crash happened around 10:05 p.m. on I-59 northbound at Chalkville Road in the Trussville area.
Muflehi was transported to UAB Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:02 a.m. Tuesday.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the crash.
