WISCONSIN — A 30-year-old woman was killed Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash involving a plow truck in the Town of Auburndale.
According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were called around 12:20 p.m. to the intersection of County Highway H and County Highway M.
Investigators said a vehicle traveling eastbound on County Highway H was struck by a plow truck traveling northbound on County Highway M after the plow truck failed to stop at a stop sign. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Heather Nigh, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second occupant in the vehicle was injured and transported to Marshfield Medical Center for treatment. The condition of that person was not released.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is leading the investigation. The crash remains under investigation as of Wednesday evening.
