VIRGINIA — The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday that it is investigating a fatal motor-vehicle crash that occurred Thursday morning.
According to officials, deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Blacksburg Police Departmentresponded to the 3600 block of Indian Meadow Road in Montgomery County after receiving a report of a serious crash.
Investigators said the driver of an internet service vehicle ran off the roadway and struck a tree. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, the driver was found deceased due to the severity of the collision.
No additional information about the driver or the circumstances leading up to the crash has been released. The incident remains under investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
