
TEXAS — One person is dead following a six-vehicle crash Sunday night on Interstate 35W in Fort Worth, according to authorities.
Fort Worth Police said officers were dispatched just before 11 p.m. to the southbound lanes of I-35W at Interstate 20 for reports of a traffic accident.
Officials said six vehicles were involved in the crash. One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Several others were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Interstate 35W was shut down for several hours while crews worked to investigate and clear the scene. The roadway has since reopened.
The Fort Worth Police Department’s traffic unit is continuing to investigate the crash.
