
SOUTH CAROLINA — One person was killed and another injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday night in Clarendon County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway said the crash occurred around 9 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 301 and Salem Road, approximately 3.5 miles south of Turbeville.
Investigators said a 2010 Honda CR-V was traveling north on U.S. 301 when it collided with the driver’s side of a 2016 Audi A3. The Audi had been traveling west on Salem Road and was turning onto U.S. 301 at the time of the crash.
Authorities said the driver of the Audi was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Honda was transported to a local hospital with injuries.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
