SOUTH CAROLINA — An eviction in the Conway area turned into a drug arrest Thursday after deputies discovered large quantities of narcotics and firearms inside a residence, according to the Horry County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said they arrived at a home on Clemson Road to carry out an eviction when they found multiple pills, guns and ammunition inside the residence.

Authorities arrested Pamela Joan Lydia, 51, and charged her with trafficking fentanyl, trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and felony possession of a firearm.

Investigators reported seizing approximately 484.8 grams of fentanyl pills and 42.4 grams of methamphetamine. Deputies also recovered two pistols equipped with drum magazines, as well as an additional extended magazine.

After Lydia was transported to the J. Reuben Long Detention Center, corrections officers discovered an additional bag of pills concealed inside her bra. As a result, authorities added a charge of concealing prohibited contraband in a jail.

The case remains under investigation.
