SOUTH CAROLINA — A fatal crash is under investigation in Beaufort County, according to authorities.
The crash occurred just before 1 p.m. on Bluffton Parkway at Soperton Drive. Troopers said a Ford Mustang traveling eastbound left the roadway, struck a median and a tree, and overturned.
According to investigators, the driver was ejected from the vehicle into the westbound lanes, where they were struck by another car. The driver died at the scene. The identity of the driver has not been released.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash remains under investigation.
