SOUTH CAROLINA — A driver was killed Monday night in a single-vehicle crash in Greenwood County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash occurred around 7:15 p.m. on McCormick Highway. An SUV traveling along the roadway left the road, struck a ditch and a tree, overturned, and then hit another ditch and tree.
The driver of the SUV died at the scene. He was identified as Andrew S. Prevatte, 60, of McCormick.
According to authorities, Prevatte died from blunt-force trauma. The death has been ruled accidental.
