SOUTH CAROLINA — A 46-year-old man was killed early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash in Aiken, according to the Aiken County Coroner’s Office.
The coroner’s office said it responded to a traffic accident around 2 a.m. on Good Springs Road near Confederate Road. Investigators determined that a 2011 Cadillac SUV traveling west on Good Springs Road left the roadway and struck a tree.
Authorities identified the victim as Kevin R. Parker. Officials said the impact of the crash caused Parker to be ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 3:30 a.m.
An autopsy is scheduled for next week in Newberry, according to the coroner’s office.
The crash remains under investigation by the Aiken County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
